Pack 1461 Blue & Gold Dinner
During the B&G dinner, scouts are invited to cook along with Erin and make Golden Potato Chip Chicken Tenders and Blueberry Lemonade for their family! As in years past, we also encourage scouts to help make a dessert, which they can do beforehand. Scouts who participate in the B&G either by cooking along with the class or making a dessert, will receive a Blue & Gold patch (distributed at a later date by their Den leader). The cooking class will also focus on knife safety and skills in the kitchen.
Each family will also receive a hard copy of the cookbook from your Den leader so you can easily follow along on February 5th. We are excited to come together as a Pack in this way and kick of 2021 together virtually!
Materials and Ingredient List
Golden Potato Chip Chicken (Page 25 in cookbook. Servings: 4)
Materials Needed:
9x13-inch baking dish, ideally glass
Non-stick cooking spray
Small bowl
Resealable plastic baggie/Ziploc, quart or gallon size
Meat mallet or rolling pin
2 shallow dishes or wide mouthed bowls, for dipping chicken
Tongs
Measuring cups and spoons
Oven mitts
Ingredients:
12 boneless chicken tenderloins
1 egg
1 cup sour cream
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp paprika
Salt and pepper
3 cups potato chips
Ranch dressing, for dipping
Blueberry Lemonade
Materials Needed:
Cutting board
Small chef's knife or paring knife
Ingredients:
Simply Lemonade (yellow) or Simply Lemonade with Blueberries (purple)
1 ripe/soft lemon
6 oz. or 1-pint blueberries
