Derby Workshop – Saturday, January 6
Pinewood Derby Car Workshop
Worried about your woodworking skills? Don’t have a full workshop in your basement? Rest easy; the Pinewood Derby Car Workshop is an excellent opportunity for Scouts and their parents to work on their cars with plenty of support, tools, and sandpaper.
The Workshop is set up to help Scouts design their car, cut the wooden block (this step is done by a parent or adult volunteer), shape, rough sand, and weight the model. All supplies for these steps will be available at the workshop—just bring the Pinewood Derby Car kit you were given by the Pack.
At the end of the workshop, you will head home with a nearly finished car—all that will be left is paint/decorate, prepare and install the wheels and axles, and race!
When Saturday, January 6
Where Our Lady of Mercy School, 9200 Kentsdale Drive, Potomac, MD
