Model Rocket Launch

Come have a BLAST and let your rockets fly! As announced at the September Pack meeting, all Pack 1461 Scouts and their families are invited to join us for a model rocket launch this Saturday and Sunday, from 1:00 to 5:00 (can attend one or both days).

Cost is $5 per participant.

New Scouts will get a free rocket engine with additional engines for sale at $3 each. New Scouts receive a free rocket if they have submitted an application to the Pack (if your new Scout son did not receive his free rocket at the September Pack meeting, please e-mail asstcubmaster.pack1461@gmail.com so we can get you one).

Returning Scouts can bring rockets they have already made or can purchase a kit with an engine at the event for $8.

In addition to launching model rockets, there will be fun events including a rocket building station, agility course, punt/pass/kick game, fish casting practice, a scavenger hunt, and more! Pack leaders will be at Hanson Farm both days starting at 1:00, so pick the day that best fits your family's schedule and Sign-Up so we know to expect you!

Turkey Foot Rd & Travilah Rd

North Potomac, MD

Directions: Use the Google maps address of 13705 Turkey Foot Road, though there is no mail box or building at that location. This blue gate, 150 feet from Travilah Road, is the Scout parking lot entrance on Turkey Foot Road. A second entrance, a red gate, near the speed cameras at 13540 Travilah Road, may be used for additional parking on the Rocket Launch days. The organizers have not yet decided on the best parking entrance, but should have signs visible on Saturday and Sunday.

Remember to wear your uniform! We will be outdoors, so dress accordingly.
