Take me out to the ballgame...
Join Pack 1461 for a doubleheader on Sunday July 20, 2014.
First, Pack 1461 takes on the National Museum of the US Navy. Your scout will be able to touch and feel recreations of famous battleships from the Revolutionary War to the present. An open touch and feel museum, its a great opportunity to be hands on with history. Located in the Washington Navy Yard, parking is free. NOTE: Construction is set to be done on M street on the 20th CLOSING the 6th and M Street SE gate. You will want to enter the Washington Navy Yard via the 11th and O Street SE gate.
The Washington Navy Yard is a secure campus. All adults 18 and over will require a valid photo ID. Vehicles entering the campus will require current proof of registration and insurance. Be sure to get your walk-on pass so you can retrieve your vehicle after the game.
After the museum, we'll take a 10 minute walk down the Anacostia Riverwalk Trail to Nationals Park as the Nats take on the Milwaukee Brewers for a 1:35 game. Sunday afternoon games mean that all kids can run the bases, so bring plenty of sunscreen and plan to stay for the whole game!
