Cub Scout Pack 1461 - Bethesda, MD

If you would like to make a donation to the Bethesda 1461 Cub Scout Pack then please click here.

Welcome to Pack 1461.  We are based out of Wyngate Elementary School, though welcome any interested families.  The mission of the Boy Scouts of America is to prepare young people to make ethical and moral choices over their lifetimes by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law.  While we want to instill values such as good citizenship, loyalty, personal fitness, and strong moral character, we aim to do this in a way that your child will not even notice - because they will be having so much fun.

Like all Cub Scout Packs, ours is organized into Dens by age group.  Each Den meets monthly and we also have monthly Pack meetings where all of the Dens come together in a big group.  Both Den meetings and Pack meetings are usually organized around an activity.  This could be a campfire, skit, hike, community service, STEM activity, advancement ceremony, the annual Pinewood Derby, a potluck dinner, rocket launch, or other fun activity.   Through these activities, your child will learn not only the values of scouting, but also lessons that they can carry through life as citizens of the world.

We also stress that Scouting is a family activity.   We encourage both parents and siblings to participate in activities.  It is a great way for the kids to bond with each other and for families to get to know other families in the community.

We hope that you will consider joining our Pack.  Please explore our website, including previous activities, and contact us  for additional information.
