Timothy Lethbridge

Timothy Lethbridge has taught software engineering since the early 1990's at the University of Ottawa. He researches software modelling, code generation, enterprise architecture and software engineering education. He leads the Umple project, designed to make modeling and code generation easy to use for students and open-source practitioners. He was on the team that developed the IEEE/ACN SE-2004 standard for software engineering education, and received the IEEE TCSE Outstanding Educator Award in 2016. He is on the steering committee of several conferences and has published over 150 scientific papers as well as a textbook on software engineering. Dr. Lethbridge is a Professional Engineer, and also an Information Systems Professional. He is a senior member of the IEEE, a senior member of the ACM and a fellow of the Canadian Information Processing Society.
