Welcome to Fall 2026! The clinical faculty are pleased to welcome new and returning clinicians to another semester of purposeful clinical learning and professional growth.

This semester provides a structured environment for deepening clinical reasoning, sharpening diagnostic and intervention skills, and advancing your growth as a confident, ethically grounded speech-language pathologist.  Please review each date, add it to your personal calendar, and complete the action indicated.

The onsite clinic preperation week for the AAMU clients. Client assignments will be made as warranted by clinic needs. Meeting dates to review protocols and expectations will be published at a later date.

*ATTENDANCE REMINDER*

University attendance verification will be completed during the September 4. Students who are absent will be reported as a "No Show," which can affect federal financial aid disbursement for the semester. Attendance is mandatory.

Every practicum experience is an opportunity to deepen your knowledge, strengthen your professionalism, build confidence, and make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you serve.

CSD Pinning Rescheduled

After careful consideration, the CSD Pinning Ceremony has been postponed due to weather-related concerns.

The ceremony has been rescheduled for Thursday, May 7 at 3:00 p.m. in Dawson Auditorium.

We are watching the potential inclement weather conditions.  At this time, the ceremony will proceed as planned; however, this is subject to change pending weather developments.

Our March 31st class will meet tomorrow; however, due to a mandatory university training for faculty, the time will be moved to 4:30pm.  Please let Ms. Embden Phillips if this amended time conflicts with your schedule.  The class will meet via Zoom.

Our March 24th class has been moved to next Tuesday, March  31st at 1pm.  Midterm grades are being calculated today and tomorrow.

February 23, 2026

The Alabama A&M University CSD Quest for the Cup Team competed exceptionally well on Thursday, February 19th! Seven teams, representing 7 Universities with CSD Programs in Alabama participated, and 40 questions were presented. Our team answered 32 out of 40 questions correctly. Placing us just two points behind the winners. The competition was extremely close, with a four-way tie among Team AAMU, Auburn University, University of Alabama, University of South Alabama, who all answered 32 or 40 questions.  So proud of Team AAMU!!!
