Welcome to Fall 2026! The clinical faculty are pleased to welcome new and returning clinicians to another semester of purposeful clinical learning and professional growth.
This semester provides a structured environment for deepening clinical reasoning, sharpening diagnostic and intervention skills, and advancing your growth as a confident, ethically grounded speech-language pathologist. Please review each date, add it to your personal calendar, and complete the action indicated.

Submit any updates to your practicum availability schedule to Ms. Phillips-Embden by the deadline for timely Fall practicum placement.
TUE, AUG 25
CSD 516 Graduate Practicum Orientation
3:00-4:30 p.m. | CCN 107
ATTEND
Required for students newly enrolled in CSD 516 and graduate clinicians whose first practicum semester was Summer 2026. Clinical expectations, policies, procedures, and practicum operations will be reviewed.
TUE, SEP 1
CSD 516 Academic Clinic

MANDATORY
All graduate clinicians - new and returning - must attend. University attendance verification will be completed during this class.
THU, SEP 10
Practicum Placements Assigned
All applicable clinicians

Graduate Practicum Begins

BEGIN
Graduate clinicians are expected to begin their assigned practicum experiences during this week.
WEEK OF SEP 28 (Tentative)
Onsite CSD Clinic Opens
Communicative Sciences and Disorders Clinic
PREPARE
The onsite clinic begins serving clients. Client assignments will be made as warranted by clinic needs. Meeting dates to review protocols and expectations will be published at a later date.
*ATTENDANCE REMINDER*
University attendance verification will be completed during the September 1 Academic Clinic meeting at 5:00 p.m. Graduate clinicians who are absent will be reported as a "No Show," which can affect federal financial aid disbursement for the semester. Attendance is mandatory.
