These are the most commonly asked about topics when selling or buying a home in Crestview
Can you tell me about your HOA?
There is no HOA in Crestview. There is a residents group but no HOA. We do ask that residents contribute $25 annually to the Crestview Estates Residents Group (CERG) to fund common projects and activities around the neighborhood. But again, there is no formal HOA thus we do not function with the rigidity that can be common in some HOA's.
CERG does have an elected board. Membership in the group is completed via the $25 voluntary fee.
Can you tell CERG about the new buyer?
One of the things we do like to do as a neighborhood is add folks to our neighborhood email list and community directory. Therefore, when someone new moves in, it is helpful for them to email crestview.cerg@gmail.com with basics like name, address, email and phone number. If someone requests not to be on the email list or in the community directory, that is OK too.
We also have a welcoming committee who try to introduce themselves within the first week or so of a new neighbor arriving in Crestview. We like to have a personal contact for our new neighbors to be able to ask questions to. The welcome committee typically also provides a welcome packet full of all sorts of information from getting utilities set up to basics of living in the foothills.
Can we have copies of the Covenants and By-Laws?
The original developer established the Crestview Protective Covenants in 1966 and 1967. Copies are on file with the Boulder County Clerk & Recorder and are posted below for ease.
Covenants are not solely enforced by CERG but typically are enforced by individual property owners with other property owners.
Please note, in the covenants there is an Architectural Control Committee (crestview.acc@gmail.com) that does approve items within the community.
In the winter, how is plowing of the roads?
We are considered priority 3 with Boulder County but as there are school buses that come through the neighborhood we are plowed relatively well

What about wildlife in Crestview?
We do live in a rural community with lots of wildlife interaction. Residents need to understand this and follow guidance to live with nature in Crestview. We do want to negative interactions with wildlife. More information can be found in the Crestview Welcome Packet on our homepage.
We regularly have deer, hawks, and turkeys. To a lesser extent we have bear, mountain lions, bobcats, owls, and foxes.
What about wildfires and Crestview?
We actively promote the Boulder County program of Wildfire Partners. We encourage residents to at least have an assessment done by Wildlife Partners. We also conduct annual fire mitigation activities. And we have a close relationship with the Lefthand Fire Protection District.
