Modeling Science Experiments

Students need practice with modeling a scientific experiment. A good way to begin to teach this is using the "How Many Drops of Water Fit on the Head of a Penny." This lesson enables students to gather data in 4 different trials, and, as an extension, apply a control with the firsts et of trials, then use dishwashing liquid to break surface tension for the second set.

This lesson also calls for students to collect, graph and interpret data.
