Harbour Scouring

Water Levels

Bristol harbour is a working harbour and following heavy rain, tidal flows or lock gate openings the water level can rise and fall.  This level change will impact the height of the polo goals above the water.

Scouring

Every 2 weeks the Cumberland basin is drained to clear out silt and debris.   Scouring operations in the Cumberland Basin will take place at the following times:

• 26 May 2025 at 12.48pm

• 10 June 2025 at 12.58pm

• 26 June 2025 at 2.14pm

No canoeing is permitted during this period.
