SUBMISSION TOOL 1: BLOGS
Many students think of the Blog posts as writings assignments, but, they are designed to be equivalent to classroom activities and discussions - thus, they should be thought of as such. However, you still have to "write" your conversation so try to use good communication skills. With that said; please complete the Check In Blog by following the instructions below.
To create a Blog post click on the title above to go to the Blog Topic page. Choose the topic you want to post about, in this instance you will choose Introductions. Once you are in the Blog area click on the Create Blog Entry button to create your post. From time to time during this course you will be asked to use Web 2.0 tools (interactive websites) to enhance your learning experience. So, to get you familiar with this process you will use one of these tools to enhance your check-in blog post. To begin introduce yourself and let us know why you took this class, then go to http://bighugelabs.com/deck.php and create a Trading Card about yourself. Put whatever statistics you think are interesting about yourself, and include it in your blog post.

**IMPORTANT DUE DATE**
In accordance with the MSJC online check in policy, you must complete the Check-In blog post by the second day of the course or you will be dropped.
Thus, you must post your Check-In thread by 11:00pm September 20th or you will be dropped from the course - NO EXCEPTIONS!

SUBMISSION TOOL 2: ASSIGNMENT LINK
This will be the primary submission tool used throughout the course, all of you textbook assignments will be submitted as attachments via assignment links. To make sure you understand how to use this tool you will download a file, complete the assignment, attach the completed file, and submit it for grading.
Click HERE to download the Check-In Worksheet. Follow the instructions on the Worksheet to complete it. Save the file as CheckIn_LastName (please use your last name, not the words last name). This assignment will require you to do some research to complete the worksheet, however all of the links are provided.
Once you have completed your document, click on the title link to go to the assignment submission area. Attach your worksheet in the Attach File area. You are not required to add any information in the submission or comment boxes. Tutorial and Case Problems using assignment links, so
make sure you understand how to upload assignment files!
Check In Test (In Blackboard this would be a live course link)
SUBMISSION TOOL 3: TESTS
During this course you will complete a Midterm and Final Exam in BlackBoard. You will not be required to come to the campus or find a proctor to complete the tests. When you are ready to take an Exam just click on the title link. This will launch the test in the BlackBoard window. After clicking on the test link you will go to a confirmation page, this is in case you accidentally click on the test link. Click begin to start the test.
Tests may include a variety of different question types; matching, fill in the blank, multiple choice, true/false, etc. in any combination. To be prepared for the test environment, this orientation includes a Check In Test. Below are the instructions.
This test will cover the general policies and procedures of the course. To prepare for this test you should have read all of the posted information available in the course.
**IMPORTANT INFO**
You should wait to complete this test until after the "official"
first day of the course because all of the answers to the
test questions may not be posted until then.
Click on the title (Check In Test) to go to the confirmation page. Click OK to begin the test. Once you have answered all of the questions, click the submit button at the bottom of the page. You may take this test as many times as you need - you must get all questions correct to continue on in the course. Your test will be automatically scored and entered into the gradebook. The next assignments will not display until you receive 100% on the test.
