Our Staff

Miss Julie, Executive Director and Owner

Julie and her husband live in El Cajon and are the proud parents of two children. Their daughter is happily married and the mother of their first grandchild. Julie bought Alpine Country Day School in 1987 from the original owners.

Miss Marlene, Program Director

Marlene lives in Jamul, is the mother of two adult children, and the grandmother of two. She enjoys gardening, photography, and hiking. Marlene earned her Child Development Master Teacher Permit in 2004, and has worked as a teacher and director at Alpine Country Day School since it opened in 1982.

Miss Marianne, Pre K Teacher

Marianne lives in Alpine with her family. She enjoys spending time with her grandson, family, and friends. Her first association with our center was when she enrolled her daughters in our preschool in 1990. Marianne received her Early Childhood Development Certificate in 1998, and has been teaching at the preschool since 1996.

Miss Le Anne, Pre K Teacher

Le Anne lives in El Cajon with her husband and two children. She likes to spend time with her family, and also enjoys scrapbooking. Le Anne started working at our preschool in 1998 as a teacher's aide, and completed Early Childhood Education in 2005. Since then, she has been teaching Pre K.

Miss Amanda, Three & Four Year Olds Teacher

Amanda lives in Descanso, and began her experience at Alpine Country Day as a preschooler here. In collage, she completed her Associates Degree in Child Development Education, as well as her Child Development certificate. She worked for two years at our Infant Center, and has been working out the preschool since May of 2012.

Miss Esthela, Three Year Olds Teacher and Spanish Language Teacher

Esthela lives in El Cajon with her family. She is active in her church and loves to read. Esthela earned her Early Childhood Development at Grossmont College, and has been a preschool teacher here since 2008. She also teaches Spanish once a week to the preschool children.

Miss Melanie, Outdoor Curriculum Teacher

Melanie lives in Lakeside with her husband, their three dogs, and a cat. Her interests include playing guitar, camping, and riding motorcycles. Melanie's Early Childhood education qualifies her as a preschool teacher, and she develops the curriculum for our outdoor playtime.

Miss Diane, Afternoon Pre K Teacher

Diane lives in Descanso. She comes from a large family, which now includes a grandson. Diane enjoys playing guitar, and is in a band. She has extensive Early Childhood Education, and started teaching at our preschool since 2002.

All of our staff are certified in Pediatric CPR and First Aid.
