Welcome to my personal webpage!

I am part of the Mid-Career Program in the Money and Capital Market Department, Global Analysis, of the International Monetary Fund (IMF). Before joining the Fund, I was Manager for Global Macroeconomics Research at the National Institute of Economic and Social Research (NIESR). 

Previously, I was full-time Senior Lecturer in Finance and Economics (tenure track) at Brunel University London, Visiting Fellow in European Political Economy and Adjunct Lecturer on the "Political Economy of Europe" eMSc at the London School of Economics (LSE), and part-time Lecturer in Macroeconomics on the “International Political Economy and Global Business” BSc at New York University's (NYU) Stern School of Business -London.

In 2019, I was a Visiting Scholar in Economics at Harvard University Minda de Gunzburg Center for European Studies for the Spring / Summer. 

Over the period 2015-2020, I have been working as part of a team of Monetary Policy Experts for the European Parliament. Previously, I worked as an economist for the Euro Area Macro Division (DG-Economics) of the European Central Bank (ECB), I was a Trainee at the ECB's EU Countries Division (DG-Economics) and an Intern in the International Monetary Fund European Dept. I visited the  Swedish Riksbanken as a consultant to the Monetary Policy Division during the Summer of 2015. 

I received a Ph.D. in Economics from the University of Torino, Collegio Carlo Alberto in 2011. I then spent two years as a Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the London School of Economics

My research interests are in the fields of Time-Series Macroeconomics, Financial Economics,  International Finance, European Political Economy.

Past honorary affiliations include the University of Milan-Bicocca as Cultore della Materia (Fellow) with expertise in Economics and Econometrics, Senior Fellow of the CefES-Center of European Studies in Milan, Fellow of the Rimini Centre for Economic Analysis; as well as membership to the Royal Economic Society, Euro Area Business Cycle Network, the Central Bank Research Association, the Society for Computational Economics, the Computational and Financial Econometrics Network, the Working Group CMStatistics, and the European Economic Association.
