Broiled Yellow Chicken
It cures asthenia-weakness of spleen and stomach diarrhea. Yellow hen (one; pluck and clean).
(Of) ingredients, combine together evenly: salt, sauce, vinegar, fennel, fine Chinese flower pepper powder. Brush onto the chicken. Roast until dry and scorched on coals. Eat on an empty stomach.

1 t salt
1 t soy sauce
1 t balsamic vinegar
1 t ground fennel seed, ground
1 t Sichuan pepper, ground
Whole chicken
Directions
Combine all ingredients and rub the outside and inside of the chicken. Be sure to get the rub mixture between the skin and the breast meat.
Roast chicken at 350 degrees for 90 minutes or until done. If you have a rotisserie this would be a great way to cook the chicken as well.
When done, let chicken rest, then slice.
Serves 6
Serve with bao bing, hoisin sauce and shredded vegetables.
