The Pack and Den Structure
Every Cub Scout is a part of a Pack. The Pack is divided into smaller groups called Dens. Each Den has about six to eight boys and girls. The Cub Scouts in each Den are in the same grade and work to complete the achievements for that same rank.

LION
LION
The Lion Den is for Scouts in Kindergarten (5 years old).

Each Lion Scout joins the den with their Adult Partner, who accompanies the Lion at all Den and Pack events. The Lion program encourages Scouts to learn and explore through hands-on, high-energy activities. The Lion badge is earned by completing five adventures, which are accomplished during the Den meetings and Den outings. When an adventure is completed, the youth receives a sticker to put in their Lion Adventure Book.
Each Lion Scout joins the den with their Adult Partner, who accompanies the Lion at all Den and Pack events. The Lion program encourages Scouts to learn and explore through hands-on, high-energy activities. The Lion badge is earned by completing five adventures, which are accomplished during the Den meetings and Den outings. TIGER

The Tiger Den is for Scouts in First Grade (6 years old).

Each Tiger Scout joins the Pack together with their Adult Partner who accompanies the Tiger at all Den and Pack events. As the Tiger Cub finishes each of the six required adventures and one elective adventure, they are awarded the adventure loop for that adventure, which they can wear on their belt. When a Cub Scout has earned all the required adventure loops, the Tiger badge is awarded at the Annual Blue & Gold Banquet or a Pack meeting.

Webelos Dens is for Scouts in the Fourth Grade (9 years old).

Webelos Scouts get to work on the five required Webelos adventures and choose two elective adventures. When a Scout has fulfilled the requirements for an adventure the Webelos Den Leader must approve it in the Scout’s book. For each adventure a Scout completes, they receive a pin to wear on their Webelos colors shoulder tab. After completing seven adventures, a Scout is awarded the Webelos badge at the Annual Blue & Gold Banquet or a Pack meeting.

The Arrow of Light Den is for Scouts in the Fifth Grade (10 years old).

Arrow of Light is the highest rank in Cub Scouting, and earning it prepares a Webelos Scout to become a Boy Scout or Girls in Scouting. Scouts must complete four required adventures and three elective adventures to earn the Arrow of Light rank. For each adventure a Scout completes, they receive a pin to wear on the Webelos colors or on their hat. The Arrow of Light badge is the only Cub Scout badge that can be worn on the Boy Scout uniform when a Scout graduates into a Troop, whether it be a Boy Scout Troop or a Girls in Scouting Troop.
