Eva Sander-Conwell received her BSc in Archaeological Conservation and Material Science from the Institute of Archaeology at the University of London and an Advanced Certificate from the Center for Conservation and Technical Studies, Harvard University Art Museums. After working in museums and teaching as head of the objects conservation lab at the Academy of Arts in Stuttgart, Germany, she has been in private practice in the Chattanooga TN area since 1999. In addition to extensive experience working with
archaeological materials and historic objects, Eva has developed expertise in the
treatment of contemporary art objects as well as outdoor sculpture. She also provides consulting for artists and fabricators seeking to improve the long-term stability of their works. Eva maintains membership in the following professional organizations:
American Institute for Conservation (AIC),
International Institute for Conservation (IIC) and Southeastern
Regional Conservation Association (SERCA). She has served as SERCA secretary for
several terms. Attending conferences and mid–career workshops on a regular basis allows her to stay current in all aspects of the profession. |
