clear nail cover hardener can be used to glue foam edge to edge. The tube is over formed so the edges press against each other making gluing easier. Too much hardener disolves the foam leaving a hole.

Thin Sliced foam thermoforms with boiling water (at sea level). A french bagette pan is used as a mold both for the tube, wing airfoil and washout shapes. Tilt the pan and pour the boiling water so it runs over the foam. The foam will then take the form of the mold.
