What makes a Champion tree? Three calculation to determine a tree's total points:Trunk Circumference (in inches) + Height (in feet) + (Widest Spread + Narrowest Spread ) / 2 = Average Crown Spread.= Total Points

What is a Co Champion tree? When two trees have scores that fall within 5 points of each other, they are listed as co-champions.

Whats the difference with a National Champion and a State Champion? National Champ is when it the biggest of the tree species out of all the U.S. States. State Champ is when it the biggest species of that State.

What is the weather like at Congaree and is the Park flooded? Listed here is the real time weather and water level at the river and creek in the park.
