Project Sequence

Community Research Argument

The Community Research Argument project is designed as a flexible extended argument study for students in grades 6-12. It has been used extensively as a semester project, but it can be adapted to fit a variety of school calendars. It is important to give students some time with earlier, foundational CRWP routine argument opportunities and skill-based mini-units in order to build up their energy, understanding, and expertise within the culture of academic and civic arguments. The Community Research Argument project consists of these three components:

    • Detailed Research Report

    • Logical Reasoning Lessons

    • Published Letter to Decision-Makers
