This site serves to provide news and information related to the Colony Cemetery. This hallowed ground is located in Fayette County, Texas, at the intersection of Texas State Highway 95 and Brown Road, approximately 8 miles north of Flatonia, Texas, and 18 miles south of Smithville, Texas.

Land for the cemetery and adjacent grounds was donated in 1876 by John A. and Margaret I. Young. The first burial in the cemetery was that of Samuel J. Brown in 1879.
