Club Members Summer BBQ in 2023 was on 3rd September, later than usual but after a poor August, the sun shone, it was a beautiful day with fab food, great company and just a wonderful time....don't miss 2024's - date available in April!

Glorious weather, wonderful food and excellent company made it a delightful afternoon.
On 7th May 2022, we had a Barn Dance and Buffet when around 70.... see what they said:
“The best party in Codford, ever”
Well, maybe not, but it was great. The Barn Dance and Buffet sponsored by Codford Tennis on 7th May was a fantastic evening. “Wow……what a party,…”; “really good evening”; “brilliant evening, when’s the next?”
Robin and the White Horse Band got everyone who could, on their feet to promenade, dos–a-dos, gallop, strip the willow, swing and strut the Circassian Circle, and for those who couldn’t, their feet were tapping and hands clapping.
“I was grateful to be reminded that Robin does a really good job of explaining to the layman (and laywoman)…”. It was terrific that the new generations discovered the fun of barn dancing – there were children who had their first opportunity and the twenty somethings who didn’t think it ‘cool’ when barn dances were more regular 10 years ago. Now they think they are brilliant!! The website (see address below) is the place to see the videos of the barn dancing!
There was an amazing spread and Club members once again came up trumps with delicious food. The tombola was ably run and produced over £200 towards our project. The fencing needs replacing as soon as we can raise the money and the Committee is working hard to do so.

Each August, we hold an annual Members' BBQ for family and friends. At the bottom of the page is 2019's rather unusual one, and of course, in 2020, we couldn't meet up.
However, after the rain, the sun always sneaks out from behind the clouds, and Codford Tennis snuck out and had a fabulous BBQ in August 2021.
Over 50 members and family joined in for fantastic food - BBQ cooked by Mark and Nic, with wonderful savouries and puddings supplied by members.
There was an accompanying Mini rally and a band practising too. Mostly the weather was very kind and the emails following on rolled in with thanks for a great time. Well done, Team

The very first following our restrictions
A great evening when there were about 70 people battling out in good humour to be the champions of the quiz. Ably masterminded by our own Quizmaster, Martin.
Old friendships renewed as folks met up for the first time in many months and new ones made as strangers gathered together to form ad hoc teams - one of which were the champions!!
A great evening had by all, and fundraising for our new fencing took a step in the right direction. Thanks to all who came, cooked and organised - none of it is possible without you.
*2019's Members' BBQ was held on a stormy night in August when there were high winds and pouring rain - so we had our BBQ in the Village Hall.
Around 40 members with their partners enjoyed each others company over a meal of BBQ'ed meats, amazing salads and scrumptious puddings. Definitely a good time was had by all!
