Obituary
Mr. Joe D. Guthrie, age 86 of Smyrna, passed away Sunday, March 17, 2019. A memorial service will be held 5 pm Saturday, March 23, 2019, in the chapel of Carmichael Funeral Home in Smyrna. A native of Alabama, Mr. Guthrie served in the United States Air Force and was later employed by the Atlanta Journal and Constitution for over 25 years before retiring. He was a member of the American Legion Post #160, the Nelms Masonic Lodge, and the Smyrna Oakdale Moose Lodge. He is survived by his daughters Debra (Thomas) Arnold, of Quinton, AL, Anna Guthrie of Smyrna, brother Robert (Carolyn) Guthrie, sister Linda Guthrie Armstrong, son in law Bill (Carol Ann) Franklin, grandchildren Danny Franklin, Michael (Lane) Franklin, Lyndsey (John) Arthurs, Brittany (Alan) Matthews, great-grandchildren Gavin and Gage Franklin, Emily Arthurs, and Murphy Matthews, several nieces and nephews. As a retired veteran, Homer was a devout Marine and had a great passion for serving his country. He was also a member of the Masonic Lodge, Meyerhardt #314. Mr. Linkous was a great father and grandfather who made sure that his family was taken care of. He was the rock of his family. Homer was known for his honesty, wit and sense of humor.Homer will be reunited with his parents, Ella and Joseph Linkous; daughter, Teresa Fair; daughter-in-law, Jenise Linkous; and 9 siblings. He leaves to cherish in his memory, sons, David Linkous , Eddie Linkous and his wife Bonnie; daughters, Michelle Boyd and her husband, Duwayne; grandchildren, Ryan Hunter and his wife, Brandy, Christopher Linkous and his wife Ruximar, Michael Linkous, Scott Hunter, Brad Fair, Bobby Fair; 16 great grandchildren and 11 great great grandchildren.

Burial will be held following the service at Pine Ridge Memorial Park with military honors.

John Henry Barkwell, age 91, of Austell passed away April 22, 2019. John retired from Lockheed after 38 years of service and was a Mason at Masonic Lodge 721 for over 50 years. He is preceded in death by his wife of 71 years, Martha Snow Barkwell. Surviving are his children, Debra (Tom) Allen and Steve (Selene) Barkwell; grandchildren, Brad (Emily) Allen, Jason (Katie) Barkwell, and Brian (Rosie) Barkwell; and great grandchildren, Alexis and Julia Allen, and Caroline, Caleb, Nolan, and Camila Barkwell. William "Bill" Ray Lynch Sr. (Weldon) 83 of Dallas GA and formerly Acworth, GA passed away on August 5, 2019 at home surrounded by his family.
Funeral and Visitations will be held at Georgia Funeral Care in Acworth. Visitation will be on Thursday August 8, 2019 from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm and again on Friday August 9, 2019 from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm followed by the Funeral Service at 2:00 pm. Burial will follow at Pine Ridge Cemetery in Kennesaw.
Bill was born in Monticello, GA on February 26, 1936. He attended Campbell High School in Smyrna. Bill retired from Lockheed Martin in 1998 after 43 years of service. He was a Volunteer Fireman for Allatoona Fire Department in Bartow County for 23 years. He owned S&S Boat Repair & Movers for 5 years. He was a Mason at the Nelms Lodge 323 F&AM in Smyrna for 60 years.
Bill is survived by his wife of 65 years Mary E. Lynch, his son Ray Lynch and his wife Kate, his son Darrel Lynch and his wife Robin, his daughter Michelle Frederick and her husband Buddy. Five Grandsons Jayson Frederick, Cary Lynch, Nathaniel Lynch, Bill Lynch and Billy Lynch and 11 Great Grandchildren. A sister Ann Sparks.
Bill is preceded in death by his mother Rose E. Weldon and father Edwin Cary Lynch.

Don Oliver Noland age, 85 of Austell Ga. died Wednesday August 28, 2019. He is preceded in death by his son Daniel Noland. A Funeral Service will be held 2:00 pm Saturday August 31st in the Jonquil Chapel of Castellaw Funeral Home, with Pastor Alan Lewis officiating. Burial will be held in Georgia National Cemetery at a later date.
The Family will receive friends Friday 6:00 - 8:00 pm in the Magnolia Room of the funeral home. He is survived by his wife Pat Noland, two daughters Pam Cline (Jesse), Donna Bradley, step-daughters Deborah Abbey Mege, Melissa Meek (Steve), step-son Robert Michael Abbey (Lynn), brother Doug Noland (Pat), eleven grandchildren , sixteen great-grandchildren several nieces and nephews. He was a member of Nelms Masonic Lodge #323, and the First Methodist Church of Austell. He was an Airborne Navy Veteran of eight years.

Mr. Emmett was a member of Peoples Baptist Church, Marietta Jaycees, lifetime member of Jaycee Honor Core, JCI Senate, Nelms Masonic Lodge #323, Yaarab Shrine Temple of Atlanta, Yaarab Entertainers, Smyrna Shrine Club, and longtime drummer.
He was a member of Nelms Masonic Lodge #323
and was a drummer for the "Shrine Enertainers"

OBITUARY
Damon "Butch" Warden
DECEMBER 6, 1940 – JANUARY 7, 2019
Damon is survived by his wife of 54 1/2 years Joyce Warden; sister Anita Fieldman; sister-in-law Carole Smith; sister Betty Erickson; brother-in-law Tom Christiansen; brother-in-law Dean Christiansen; Several nieces & nephews in Florida, Tennessee, and Minnesota.
Damon was a member of St. Catherine of Siena Catholic Church and had retired from Lockheed after 32 years where he spent time in California, Philadelphia, Canada, and Georgia as a Logistics Coordinator. He was a Navy veteran of 8 years, with service in Vietnam. Mr. Warden served our country honorably in the US Navy aboard the Kitty Hawk. He was Mason and member of Kennesaw #33 where he served as Worshipful Master in 2003. He also was member of the Royal Arch and Council, Council of Select Masters, Constantine Commandery #26, Order of Amaranth #22 McDonough, Order of Scotland, and the American Legion Post 26.
A visitation for Damon will be held Thursday, January 10, 2019 from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Winkenhofer Pine Ridge Funeral Home, 2950 Cobb Pkwy NW, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. A chapel service will occur Friday, January 11, 2019 at 1:00 pm, 2950 Cobb Pkwy NW, Kennesaw, Georgia 30152. A burial will follow at Cheatham Hill Memorial Park, 1861 Dallas Highway, Marietta, Georgia 30064 with Military Honors and Masonic Rites.
