Walking Barefoot
Walking Barefoot. Walking barefoot strengthens the muscles in the feet and increases bone mass. The foot muscles are hardly used when wearing shoes. The feet contain over 200,000 nerve endings. Setting down the feet very lightly can feel very pleasant and comfortable, like a massage. Walking on bare feet causes us to walk differently with more weight on the front of the foot. Transition to barefoot gradually. After about 4 months, the enhanced activation of foot muscles will serve to prevent stress on the plantar fascia.
Earthing. Making contact with the Earth’s electrical field has a favorable effect on health. The earth is negatively charged while the air is filled with positive ions. The quantity of positive ions has increased with the widespread use of radios, television and other forms of wireless communications. Too many positive can disrupt the balance between the positive and negative. To remain healthy we must not become isolated from earth. Walking barefoot gives us direct contact with Earth, and gives more energy.
Diet. Eat during a 5 hour period each day, no more. It is not only important what we eat, but how often. This practice trains to use mainly fat as fuel instead of glucose. Eat mainly food with high nutritional value: fruits, veggies, meat, fish and chicken. In this simpler diet there are no calorie restrictions.
