Nine. Systematic education for lifting.
Begin by understanding how we learn. To learn we follow a progression.
Imagine we are a tree.
The type of tree we are is our genetic inheritance. The soil is our environment, our training. The rings are our experiences--we will have some thin years and some thick years but expansion is based on previous years.
When adding to the soil it is best to add one ingredient at a time and evaluate the fruits. This gives us the opportunity to discern that which is beneficial from that which is ineffective or poisonous.
Systemic education is based on following a simple model.
Have a basic training routine that keeps us fresh and in shape.
Add new lifts/variations one at a time. See if they work and for how long.
Diet for athletes:
Breakfast, lunch & a snack.
Eat a fistful of protein at every meal.
Adopt water as the base beverage.
After we are doing this consistently, we may consider supplements.
