(39) One Dumbbell Workout
The more options we have, the more depressed we become. An occasional round of simplicity, for as little as one workout or one week, can do wonders for overall training. Four points:
Come up with a workout- weekly , biweekly, monthly--get a little old school. Toss out all the fancy stuff and just work hard.
Try some single dumbbell or mismatched dumbbell workouts.
Always give an exercise, a lift, a training program, supplement or diet some time to work. Start with the basics, give the basics some time to work, then gradually move up to the fancy stuff, if we even need to.
Even if we decide to add a new exercise, be sure to use old fashioned exercises and good form, too.
Basic One Dumbbell Workout - Do a bunch of sets and reps with each exercise, switch sides and repeat.
One Hand Clean and Press. Straddle the ‘bell,’ clean the bell to the shoulder and press it overhead. Continue to press until unable to. Clean the weight from the ground on each rep.
One hand clean and press, press, press. One clean and as many presses possible.
Waiter walks
One arm Bench Press also works great
Try training with two dumbbells but of different weights. Do as many reps as possible. Switch hands and go again.
