The Liba WK3 Specification.
A Liba Machine for Size Comparison.
The Liba Machine Speeds the Folding and Centre Seam Simulated Hand Sewing operations by Mechanising them.
The Machine employs a set of Raised Adjustable Metal Blocks, through which will pass a very long coiled needle.
The Spacing of Each Block determines the gap between the Stitches formed as the needle passes through them and the Necktie clamped between them.
Once the Needle is in place through the Necktie Seam, the Needle then grasps the open end of the Silk Thread and Pulls it back along the Necktie to form the Simulated Hand Sewn Seam. The Thread is Cut to a Predetermined Length.
Sufficient Thread is left at each end of the seam to allow either Hand Tacking or Enclosure using a Machine Formed Bartack.

On the bed of the machine is a raised profile shape of a Cut and Tipped Necktie into which is placed the whole Fabric Necktie which is laid Face Down. ( and a second Slk Lining piece if that method is used )
The Machine then folds the Necktie Fabric ready to receive the Seam
Before Seaming, the Cut Lining Canvas is placed into position over the seam. This process is Automatically performed on the Liba WK3 machine model.
The whole assembly is then clamped into position ready to receive, first the needle and then the thread.
Once sewn, The Necktie has to be turned through over its lining using a standard type of Turning Tube by hand as before.
