Who We Are

We are DJ and Danielle George.  Parents to four kids who keep us busy with school commitments and  various athletic practices and games.  We believe organized athletics are an avenue to achieving positive character development, as well as,  offering children a place to stay busy and out of trouble after school.  We are thrilled to be able to make a child's athletic experience a little more positive by offering, for free, the proper shoes for the sport.

Our History

As a busy family of six with children in various sports, we accumulated quite a few pairs of athletic shoes that our children had outgrown, but were still in decent shape. We tried to think of how these used shoes could benefit other kids in youth recreation sports programs in our community. The Cleats for Feet idea was born amongst our four kids on a car ride home from a practice. The kids came up with the name and the idea to include a new pair of socks in each pair of shoes we donate. It only took one phone call to find a recreation center that was in need of shoes!

Our Current Work

We collect used and new basketball/gym shoes, soccer cleats, baseball cleats and football cleats from friends, family members, schools, businesses, sports organizations and anyone who has old athletic shoes they want to donate.  We offer "Shoe Drive Packets", where you can host a Cleats for Feet shoe drive at your school, church, business or community to benefit participants in youth sports programs in Salt Lake City.
