Firstly, you have available a presentation with the aim of the project
STEEP 1
The whole class has to read the presentation that is proposed. All the dishes can be found in: https://www.epicurious.com/video/series/around-the-world-in-80-dishes
STEEP 2
Each student has to choose a country, and also choose one of its characteristic dishes. And then fill in (in the notebook) the following table.
STEEP 3
You have to investigate a little about the country from which the dish you have chosen is typical. You can consult the link: https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anexo:Pa%C3%ADses
Main Features of the Country
STEEP 4: PROBLEM
MESS IN THE RESTAURANT. A careful observation of physical phenomena has shown that 17 bears eat as much as 170 people, 100000 bats eat as much as 50 people and 10 bears eat as much as 4 elephants.
a) How many places should be reserved in the "Pink Room" of a well-known restaurant for a people feast, if the only information the manager has is that the same food has to be prepared as for a dozen elephants?
b) You have to find the total amount of ingredients in your chosen dish in order to feed everyone.
STEEP 5
With the data collected in steps 2, 3 and 4 you have to make a presentation (8 to 12 slides) in which the country, its characteristics and the typical dish chosen are reflected. The problem has to be solved in a couple of slides, too. You must send it (or shared it) to cmartine@educacion.navarra.es
To fill in the table with the characteristics of the countries you can consult the link: https://es.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anexo:Pa%C3%ADses
