Anthony Majahad, a beloved poet and a long time member of the group died November 7, 2017. Susan Donnelly wrote:
Tony dealt bravely and with a lot of spirit and cheerfulness with a combination of illnesses. He had heart disease and kidney disease and was on dialysis for years. Through it all he kept up his love of poetry, came to what classes of mine he could, was a very active member of CREW (poets from Charlestown, Revere, Everett and Winthrop), and a participant in Bagel Bards. He was also an avid photographer, taking many official Class Act photographs, as well as individual photographs that have graced books like Mary Buchinger's Aerialist. Tony was an environmental scientist (I first met him at the Harvard School of Public Health) and generously lent his expertise to a Winthrop citizens group that monitored the effects of Logan Airport on that community.
Last and most important, Tony was a loving, gentle and enthusiastic man - a highly valuable participant in any group, and a dear friend.
