Here is the full family, some have come, some have gone.
Noblet diamond model Alto Clarinet, Buffet Continentale A clarinet, Buffet R13 Bb clarinet, and metal Regent Bb clarinet.
The Alto clarinet has been sold.
Here is my Buffet R13 Bb and Buffet Continentale A clarinets together.
I have a green Bam Trekking case. I keep a damp-it and a hygrometer in there to keep it from getting dry.
I put my reeds in a Wiseman Case with pretty green velvet inside. I use the Doc's cork grease and black silk swab that I bought as a kit, which includes a bunch of useful stuff.
Wiseman Reed Case
Mouthpieces, ligature and barrels (some sold, some I still use)
Currently, I play a Bb Buffet R13 that I got for my 16th birthday in 1998, but it's dated at 1995. Choices given to me: car or clarinet. I chose clarinet.
I use an M13Lyre mouthpiece, and Bay Medium ligature with regular VanDoren 4 reeds. I also use a Clark Fobes 66mm barrel. It's the older style, though. I rarely need to use my Buffet Moennig 67mm anymore. M13Lyre makes me play flat while my B45 plays sharp.
My A clarinet is a Buffet Continentale that is from somewhere in the 1960s.
I found out that this instrument was an "experiment" by Buffet to make other professional horns outside of the R13. Along with the Continentale, there was the S-1, but neither caught on very well... so here it is. haha. It actually plays very well, but it needs an overhaul.
I play a Noblet Diamond model low Eb model 2 piece body bass clarinet that is probably from the 70s. I use an older Selmer C* mouthpiece that I had refaced to a D facing by my friend Tom Pawulski, and a Rovner Dark ligature. Most of the time, I use a Hite mouthpiece, which I found to work better with the low Eb model basses. I use Vandoren size 3 bass clarinet reeds. I recently got a Bam bass clarinet case for it.
My Eb clarinet is an older Buffet R13 with a VanDoren B44 mouthpiece and Bonade (not inverted) ligature. I sold it to pay for grad school. I miss it, but I never played it.
