Framed picture of the gas holders along Regents Park canal in Hackney, East London.
Loved by many and rescued from demolition a few years ago.
framed size is 73W cms x 52Hcms image size is 58 x 40 cms
Framed in limed wood
The initial large print was created in 2009. Three prints were sold from this and the remaining prints decommissioned.The image was reworked in 2013.
9 have now been tinted, 5 are sold.

These regal crowns, standing next to the Regents canal in Hackney, are dominating, mesmeric and strange. Their presence harks back to a previous era when London
considered its industry an inevitable part of life and as a result gave it some decoration no matter how slight!

The A6'sh size is a cropped image of the holders and path.12 are tinted 7 are sold so far. An edition'd run of 10 A6'sh prints have been made for the PrintMakers Council.
(this entails making at least 30 prints so as to get the balance of colours similar enough to form an edition)

A smaller (A3'sh) print of the gas holders from the other side of the canal is also available, 'Princes Crown's'.These holders have been under severe threat of dismantling ! I think its all ok now!
