4) Therapy

Place: UniCafe Kookos, TeaK, HakaniemiActivity: ConnectionKey Words: catharsisThe morning for the fourth meeting was planned to be brainstorming at TEAK. We meet in the University Cafe Kookos and started to talk. At this point we found it very easy to open up to each other even if we were somewhat strangers to each other. We opened up about personal things and reflected on how we p resent ourselves to strangers. What kind of image are we building up? What do we choose to tell, what parts of our life gets forgotten in these discussions? Te morning planning session became a day of "group therapy" in a very positive way. We all felt a strong connection to each other and the surrounding diapered, just as it can when the discussion is intense over a cup of coffee or tea. A topic after an other emerged and was looked at from different perspectives, our perspectives. Pasts, fears, tears and dreams were revealed. During the "therapy session" we explored ourselves through the eyes of others in this city, yet we built us a comfortable bubble in a busy environment closing out all interaction with others. At 15:00 the bubble burst and we left the cafe and started to interact with the city again, now with new narratives and life stories that opens our understanding for new things and ourselves. We also had a feeling of catharsis when we left each other, the spring had been a he ctic time for all of us and we had the opportunity to release the pressure.
