Beach Clean August 4th 2012
Our second of the year, should be nice and warm for a dip after all the hard work! Meet down on the beach at 2pm.
Devon Wildlife Trust July 17th 2012
Come and join us for a pleasant evening stroll around the farm with our local Wildlife Trust Group. Meet at Southdown Farm around 5.30pm for a prompt 6pm start, could be a good idea to bring along a picnic for your supper looking out over the sea, hills and fields.
AONB event June 17th 2012
We are lucky to be in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB) with fantastic views coupled with glorious wildlife and plants, come along to this event and see for yourself. Great afternoon event if your down on holiday! Meet at Southdown Farm around 1.30pm for a 2pm start.

Devon Wildlife Watch Group March 24th 2012
We are giving a short walk around the farm for the Wildlife Watch, Devon Wildlife Trust, on Saturday the 24th at 10.30am. Just follow the signs for Soar Mill Seeds at Southdown Farm and come and join the group for a 2 hour ramble across our wildlife friendly farm. We should see Hares and Cirl Bunting but hopefully we will come across some summer migrants like Wheatear and even a Swallow.
Devon Brown Hare Workshop 2011
On Wednesday the 15th June at 10am, if your in the area, come along to the Malborough Village Hall for a cup of tea and hear from some of our best authorities ont he brown hare. Guest speakers from the Game & Wildlife Conservation Trust, Devon Mammal Group and Devon FWAG. Topics include hare ecology, national and regional status, farm habitat management and survey techniques. Lunch is served at 12.30 and then we all come out to Southdown Farm where it will fall to me to provide fantastic views of our Brown Hares!! Bolt Head Classic 2009 Fancy a great day out in some of our best countryside? Why not come along to East Soar just outside Malborough (just up the road from Soar Mill Seeds) and have a great day out watching vintage WWII planes, rides in vintage buses and see classic cars and motorbikes. Farm walk 2009 Gordon Waterhouse will be taking a tour of Southdown farm with the Kingsbridge Natural History group on the 27th July at 6pm. Meet at Southdown farm, all welcome.

Now we can at last show you our full range of wild bird products without tripping over the buckets on the floor to catch the rain!!
