PRIMARY PRODUCT - MECHANICAL/ELECTRICAL CAD SERVICE
The product will be CAD Drawings. CAD Stands for Computer Aided Drafting.
These drawings are in the form of computer files and are different from photographs or pictures you might see on a computer. CAD drawings are a Vector format. Photos are a Raster format. Vector files are mostly lines, straight or curved, 2D or 3D. Raster files are dot’s of color - 2D. I have several examples of my work on the other side of the website - Chucks CAD.
This will NOT include Architecture-That is a special type of drawing with a very crowded market and legal consequences. If you need a room layout or an escape plan for a building - request a quote. Otherwise I can put you in touch with an Architectural Draftsman.
TECHNICAL DRAWINGS - Typically Drawings with dimensions or a lot of numbers on them. There is a big market for customers who need documentation of existing or proposed projects. I can offer 2D drawings, 3D modeling of physical things. Of course, manufacturers will also need my service as their business increases or changes.
QUOTATION DRAWING - Without a drawing in the proper format your not going to really know what the cost of production will be. Unless your design is thoroughly documented some manufactures will give you a distorted and enflated quote.
CNC PATTERNS - CNC stands for Computer Numerical Control. CNC is a type of machine control, mostly for cutting machines. If you have a CNC Router or Co2 laser and need a pattern, no problem.
3D MODELING - 3D Models are used for many things. Such as : Product development / Product variation / 3D Printing / Load and Stress Analysis / Marketing / Obsolete replacement parts / etc.
RASTER TO VECTOR TRANSLATION - If a company wants its LOGO engraved or lettering engraved/cut the subject must be translated to Vector format. There is special software for this but sometimes the resulting Vector files are unusable. I can fix that.
RED LINE SERVICE - Every mechanical design goes through a lot of review. There will always be revisions made during the development process. As the design goes into production will be a pile of drawings with red lines (adjustments) all over them. I can correct red lines. This lets the designer (Engineer?) stay focused on what he(she) does.
DISPLAY DESIGN SERVICE - I designed acrylic displays for 6 years. I still have contacts in the industry and several fab shops.
SCHEMATICS - Electrical, Pneumatic and Hydraulic. Examples are on the CHUCKS CAD site UNDER 2D drawings.
