I am an Assistant Professor in the Department of Banking and Finance at the University of Zurich. I am also affiliated with the Research Priority Program Financial Market Regulation, the CESifo and the IZA network.

My current research includes the effects of negative interest rates on banks in Switzerland, and the management of interest rate risk by both households and banks. Other research interests include: Empirical Banking, Household Finance, Mortgage Markets, Financial Regulation & Supervision, Wealth Management Banking.

Previously I worked for the Swiss Financial Market Supervisory Authority FINMA. I also compiled the bi-annual FINMA Real Estate Monitor and participated in policy discussions focusing on real estate and mortgage markets.

Before that, I studied at Oxford University, Universitat Pompeu Fabra, the Harvard Kennedy School, and the European University Institute.
