What's on at Christ Church

CHURCH SERVICES

At present, the Covid-19 restrictions mean a severe curtailment to church services, as we are anxious to ensure everyone is as safe as possible.

We are only able to have ten people / family groups at any service, so please ring Father John on 0191-388 2228, to book a place at either the Sunday service (9.30am) or the Wednesday morning (10.30am). For the time being, there will be no singing and - save where you sit with your family group - everyone must maintain social distancing of two metres. Hand sanitising stations will be available.

For those unable to attend / still shielding, a telephone service is available at 2.00pm every Sunday and a video service is available through Youtube every week. If you'd like more information, do give Fr. John a ring or check out our Facebook page Christ Church Lumley.

Fortnightly Bible Study classes and evening services are taking place via Zoom - again, please contact Father John who will send the link.

The church is open at specific times for private prayer. If there is any other information you need, please get in touch.

KNIT & NATTER

Come and join us. Bring your knitting, crochet or sewing, or come and learn to knit or how to do English paper piece quilting. We meet fortnightly from 1.30pm to 3.30pm at Christ Church. Note - Our meeting is cancelled

BREATHING SPACE

Anyone who wants some peace and quiet or "time out" for a quiet prayer or reflection, away from the noise and bustle of everyday life, this could be just for you.

Breathing Space takes place on the first Saturday of the month from 10.00am until 12.30pm.

The Church provides the space; - the Holy Spirit does the rest.
