We are pleased to announce the program for the 2024 Chicago Plant Science Symposium. This series is designed to bring together the plant science community of the greater Chicago area for a one-day symposium highlighting the cutting edge of research in plant evolution, ecology, and conservation. As usual, the program includes lunch and a post-conference mixer. Best of all, registration is free! Deadline to register is Friday April 5th, 2024!
The theme of the symposium this year is “Across Time and Terrain: Plant Interactions and Evolution.” We have invited a diverse group of researchers who will explore a wide range of topics that represent different aspects of pollination biology, including conservation, ecology, and evolution.
8:30-9:30 AM — Registration & Poster Pinup (Regenstein Center)
9:30-9:45 AM — Introductory remarks (Alsdorf Auditorium*)
9:45-10:30 AM — Camila Pizano, "Janzen-Connell effects in tropical dry forests; the interactive effects of drought and soil microbial communities on seedling growth"
