Chess at Streatham Library
We meet every Tuesday 16:30 to 19:30 at the Mark Bennett Streatham Centre in Streatham Library, 63 Streatham High Road, SW16 1PN (the entrance is in Pinfold Road). Our next session will be on Tuesday 10 September. (Last updated 5/9/24.)
Welcome to the Chess at Streatham Library website. We are a friendly group of chess enthusiasts who meet every Tuesday at Streatham Library to play, learn and improve. If you’re interested in our challenging and beguiling game why not join in - we’ll be delighted to see you and there’s nothing to pay.
Chess at Streatham Library is a community initiative, run by volunteers, to encourage enjoyment of chess. Our aim is to create a stimulating and fun environment where people of all ages and backgrounds can meet up, improve their understanding of the game, enjoy each other’s company... and of course play lots of chess.
We started around 20 years ago, and since 2015 we’ve been able to use the Library’s smart and spacious community centre.
