About me

I am in the Mathematics Department at the University of Bristol.

My research involves infinite groups. A theme of my work is to pose questions for infinite groups that have been well studied for finite groups. So far this includes studying 3/2 generation, invariable generation, degree of commutativity, and the structure of certain centralisers and automorphism groups. Aspects of algebra, analysis, and combinatorics all appear in my work.

Since completing my PhD with Armando Martino at Southampton, I have been at Bath and Bristol. I have also undertaken writing work for Cambridge University Press, Oxford University Press, Pearsons, and smaller companies.
