PTSA Budget

In 2022 - 2023, the CHHS PTSA anticipates that our income will come from the following sources:

  • Memberships, donations & corporate matching gifts: 51%Grocery programs (Weaver St, Harris Teeter, Amazon): 7%

  • Other income (sales tax refund): 1%

  • Winter plant & ornament sale: 6%

  • Specific donation requests (Teacher Appreciation Week, etc.): 35%

The PTSA will distribute approximately $45,000 during the 2021-2022 school year. CHHS teachers and staff receive 75% of these funds, to be used for the following items:

  • Teacher discretionary funds to purchase items for use in their classroom

  • Department discretionary funds to purchase items used by the academic departments

  • Professional development funding support

  • Hospitality

CHHS students receive 24% of these funds, in the form of:

  • Student club support

  • Freshman orientation

  • Hospitality

  • Project Graduation funding

  • PTSA Scholarships

  • Mental health programming


PTSA Operating Expenses of 1% include:

  • Insurance

  • PTA North Carolina Council dues
