I like Jesus, math, motorcycles, science, and helping people learn.
I've been teaching, tutoring, training, or mentoring since 2000. During that time I've worked with high school students, college students, adult learners, fellow educators, motorcycle riders, and community groups. I've taught mathematics, statistics, calculus, quantitative reasoning, personal finance, and physics in a variety of settings, from traditional classrooms to online learning environments.
Professionally, I serve as Senior CurriculumManager at Laurel Springs School and teach mathematics and physics. Much of my work focuses on curriculum development, faculty support, instructional quality, and helping learners succeed. I've also served as a department chair, instructional supervisor, faculty trainer, and adjunct instructor.
Outside the classroom, I teach motorcycle safety courses and volunteer as a NASA Solar System Ambassador. I enjoy sharing science, astronomy, and practical problem-solving with audiences of all ages.
I earned a bachelor's degree in mathematics from Messiah College, a master's degree in mathematics from Shippensburg University, and a secondary teaching certification in mathematics and chemistry through Marygrove College.
No matter the subject, my goal is simple: help people understand something they didn't understand before and leave with more confidence than they had when they arrived.
