Score free-response questions on the AP Calculus AB and BC exams against a nine-point standard, so that a response earns the same score regardless of who reads it. Scoring accuracy is monitored throughout the reading against pre-scored validity samples seeded into the queue, and Readers work under named controls for halo, leniency, severity, and similar-to-me bias.

Lead a table of Readers through the scoring guidelines and benchmark responses, support their required training and calibration, backread at least 10 percent of the table's scored responses using both informed and blind review, monitor accuracy against calibration and validity samples, and document mentoring and performance in the end-of-shift report.
AP Calculus Table Leaders are trained on two or three free-response questions each year rather than the single question typical of other subjects.

Seventeen manuscripts reviewed: three in 2019, three in 2020, one in 2021, three in 2022, two in 2023, one in 2024, one in 2025, and three in 2026.
Reviews are blind, with the author's identity withheld from reviewers. Each manuscript goes to three subject-matter reviewers, who recommend acceptance, rejection, or revision and supply a documented rationale that is returned to the author. Reviewers are frequently asked to assess the revision as well. NCTM asks reviewers for two or three manuscripts a year.
(Individual manuscripts are not listed. Most never reached print, whether rejected after review or never revised, so a title list would send readers looking for articles that do not exist. Naming them would also disclose an author's outcome without their agreement.)
