The Pilot Directions for MOST Grant for the Columbus Program, established by the Ministry of Science and Technology (MOST), Taiwan, aims to: encourage young research fellows and scholars, on a long-term basis, to conduct research, broaden international collaboration, and establish international influence. The successful candidate (PhD in a relevant subject) will join a productive and research-oriented team, involving geotechnical engineering, geophysical technologies, geomechanics, and applied earth sciences.

We are hiring motivated individuals with competences in: numerical analyses (i.e. Plaxis 2D3D, ABAQUS, PFC2D3D, MATLAB, etc.), geophysical and geotechnical experiments, landslides and geohazards, geosynthetics-reinforced structures, and geotechnical earthquake engineering. The fellowship will be anticipated for 1-5 years (since Feb 2018); the successful appointee will have excellent communication skills and written English, and have strong interests in publishing and becoming a faculty/researcher in the near future.
