Arnold Medical Team Looking For Radio Operators

CQ, CQ, CQ. Calling all HAMs! Are you looking for something to do in the middle of winter? Do you want to get out and stretch your legs? We are currently taking volunteers for the 2019 Arnold Medical Team. This event will provide an opportunity to practice your ARES skills in a climate controlled setting with experienced team members. If you have never worked the event or are a little unsure of your skills, we have a mentorship program that will provide on the job training until you are comfortable with working the events on your own. You will not be placed at an event alone as you will serve as the communications component of the onsite medical teams consisting of a doctor, RN, EMT, and/or medical student. The only requirement to participate is a Dual-Band handheld radio, valid amateur radio license, and a great attitude!

The 2019 Arnold Sports Festival starts on Thursday, February 28, 7am and ends on Sunday, March 3, 7pm.

Signup for any shift on any day or the entire weekend. If you know of any doctors, nurses, or EMTs that would be interested, please encourage them to sign up!
