Field Day 2020

Event: American Radio Relay League Field Day: Communications Demonstration, Exercise, and Contest

Location: Various. COTN will be operating on-air only, no physical gathering.

Amateur radio is more than a hobby: it's a public service. Operators use their licenses, equipment, and skills in the service of the public and the agencies that serve them in times of emergency—when communication is most urgent and traditional methods are unreliable. On Saturday and Sunday, June 27 and 28, 2020, amateur radio operators will be originating and relaying short messages, known as radiograms, for transmission by radio. Central Ohio Traffic Net will operate several special sessions to help relay those messages.
