Central Jersey Vegetarian Group (CJVG)
CJVG provides social and educational activities for vegetarians and anyone interested in vegetarianism.

After a long hiatus, we're happy to announce the following CJVG news. CJVG has joined up with the Vegetarian Society of South Jersey (VSSJ) to form a state-wide vegetarian group, the Vegetarian Society of New Jersey (VSNJ)! CJVG is now a chapter of the new group, which was introduced at the first New Jersey VegFest on October 2, 2016 in Morristown.

About VSSJ:

The Vegetarian Society of South Jersey (VSSJ) is an all-volunteer, nonprofit, tax-exempt 501(c)(3) organization whose purpose is:
  • Educational: To educate the public on the benefits of a plant-based diet. Information is provided through literature, videos, cooking classes, and speakers.
  • Social: To provide opportunities for people to meet, share meals, and to have fun.
  • Supportive: To offer advice, encouragement, and friendship to those in transition to a vegetarian diet.
VSSJ was founded in 1986, and currently has about 150 active members, a Facebook community of 450 people, and numerous additional participants on our mailing list.

VSSJ events include educational outreach, free lectures, monthly potlucks, restaurant trips, volunteer workdays, and more.

CJVG is a chapter of VSNJ.  Please review the potluck guidelines.
CJVG/VSNJ members only.  No fee for this potluck.  The host is respectfully requesting that children under 12 not be included in this event.
Space is limited, so please RSVP by February 9 to thecjvg@gmail.com or 609-848-VEG1 (8341).  After 2/9, please check to see if space is available.
