The topic must relate to at least two different drugs from two distinct classes of drugs.

Be careful you do not plagiarize. This should be your own work. You should reference any information you get from another source, especially if you use quotations, something that is not common knowledge or someone’s opinion. Be careful not to use too many quotations (I hate seeing them). Most information should be in your own words. I will check for plagiarism. I may ask to see certain references you use, so you should keep records of everything you use for this project. Plagiarism detection software (TurnItIn and CiteWrite) will be used.

Please note the following specific requirements for the research paper.

1. A Title Page with:

a. The paper title

b. Your name, the course, and the date

c. The professor's name

d. A 1(one) paragraph abstract

2. A Research Paper with:

a. Begins with an Introduction (have a thesis or idea around which you are organizing the paper)

b. Has a well-organized Body (divided into Sections and Subsections)

I. Try to use both the trade and generic name when introducing the drug and thereafter, just pick one.

II. Should include the history of the drugs

III. mechanism or mode of action

IV. brief mention of other drugs in the class

V. side effects

VI. a few of the cancers that it has been approved to treat.

c. Ends with a Conclusion or Summary (revisit your thesis)

3. A Reference or Bibliography

a. You must use at least six resources.

b. Wikipedia or other encyclopedias do not count as resources. They count as places to get you started to find good resources.

c. Your citations should follow APA (American Psychological Association) formatting.

d. Try to keep them within the last decade or 2

I will not give a page or word count because I don’t want everyone switching to courier new like I’m an idiot. Just get to the point and really try to explore a couple of drugs well enough to understand how and why they work. Your audience is a non-science person on a train-ride. I see the A papers being 5-7 pages. Do not be redundant to bulk up the paper as this will probably hurt your overall flow. Do not give me 10 pages.
