The Cedar Valley Vigilantes are a non-profit SASS Affiliated Cowboy Action Shooting Club, proud home of SASS MIDWEST REGIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP and GUNSMOKE. We are dedicated to re-living the Spirit of the Old West.  We shoot original or replica Old Western era firearms (pre-1900) at steel targets.

We compete against ourselves, each other, and of course, the clock...all for fun!

Cedar Valley Vigilantes holds bi-monthly shooting matches on the 1st and 3rd Saturdays of the month, starting in April, and continuing through October, weather permitting.

Our primary goal is safety; first, last, and always. We believe all participants should have a great time while they are here. We have a state of the art Cowboy Action Shooting facility, built as an actual western town. Each shooting lane is separated by an 8 ft. high railroad tie wall, re-enforced for maximum safety. Wlike fairly large close targets, and un-complicated shooting scenarios. So if your looking for one heck of a good shooting club and friendly folks, come on out and join us. Everyone is welcome.

  • Cowboy Carpentry Clinic, Saturday May 23rd 9AM.
    Calling all Cowboys,

At the Board meeting Saturday, one we went over the list of general maintenance and upkeep items that need to be attended to on our range.  Two things have become obvious, First that the list is longer than what we can get accomplished on the shoot weekends, and second that the list is getting longer than we can handle on our own.  So we are holding a “Cowboy Carpentry Clinic” Saturday May 23rd starting at 9AM.

If any of you have the time to come and help, any assistance would be greatly appreciated and would help make the work go much faster and less daunting.

If you can come an assist, bring a pair of gloves, any small hand tools you might think would be handy, and your cowboy attitude, we have most of the needed materials on hand, and just need help with the labor of installation.

Some items on the list include, replacement of trim and areas of rotting wood on stage facades, paint/stain areas, installation of replacement steps next to Jersey Lilly, straighten RR tie wall between Stages 11 & 12, and several other small items.

Hail Mary, and Bronco Kate are planning on feeding lunch to everyone that helps.

Thank you in advance to those able to come.

    CVV Board.
