She is the President of the Science National Honor Society at Clear Brook and was a two-time finalist at the Intel International Science & Engineering Fair (ISEF). She's often busy making observations about life, and enjoys arts and crafts, practicing self-defense and dance moves, and spending time with her family.
Augustine Quiocho
Number of weeks volunteered: 16Tino is a senior who will attend Texas A&M University at Corpus Christi in the fall, majoring in organismal biology. He is talented in both music (he plays guitar and piano) and athletics (basketball and sand volleyball). Outside of school, Tino is very involved in his church and loves God. Overall, he is a very outgoing and caring individual who loves to talk and interact with people throughout the day.
Avin deSilva
Number of weeks volunteered: 15Avin deSilva is part of the graduating class of 2018 at Clear Brook High School. On top of contributing to CORES, he plays a lead role in CSStars, a computer science club at Ward Elementary. He develops his passion for computer science by attending various hackathons and is a black belt in Kuk Sool Won martial arts.

She is a 3rd year Superintendent's Scholar and is a part of Clear Brook's National Honor Society and Key Club in addition to being a 3-time DECA State Finalist. She has been a Clear Brook dance team member for all four years of high school and enjoys reading and hanging out with friends.

In addition to CORES Club, Monica makes artwork and is involved with the Clear Brook Band and Girl Scouts. Her favorite summer activities are the Camp Happy day/twilight Girl Scouts camp and the AFA summer orchestra camp. In any spare time that she has, Monica likes to watch Netflix with her younger sister.

Number of weeks volunteered: 31.5Mariana was president of CORES Club for the year 2018-2019. She has participated in the club since its founding three years ago. As well as this, she is a proud member of the CBHS Wolverine Marching Band, in which she is a section leader for the baritone section, and the CBHS Wind Ensemble Band, in which she plays bassoon. She also participates in Book Club, NHS, and full orchestra performances. She enjoys reading, writing, music, and human biology. After graduation, Mariana plans to major in anthropology.

This is her first year in CORES Club. She enjoys baking, working with younger students, and sports. Emma hopes to be independent and successful, and wants to do the same for the young CORES members.

This year, she is involved in Calligraphy Club, UNICEF, Key Club, Book Club, HOSA, NHS, and NTHS, alongside her first year of CORES. Her interests include drawing and painting, calligraphy, music, film, shopping, exploring new foods, and baking. Tasnim hopes to work in a healthcare field later in life to help others lead healthy lives.

As well as being a CORES member for the first time this year and a CORES Volunteer Coordinator, Phuong is involved in student council, HOSA, UNICEF, and Calligraphy Club. Following graduation, she plans to major in biochemistry or biomedical science to fulfil her hopes of becoming an ophthalmologist. Her love of science is rooted in its nature to provide something new and interesting to learn at all times.
